One of the leading causes of fire and explosion in dust recovery activities is static electricity. Dust that can cause static electricity and cause fires and explosions include potato flour, granulated sugar, aluminum, coal, and sulfur. That is why anti-static dust filter bags are made.
The primary function of the anti-static dust filter bag is to prevent electrostatic charge on the surface, hence eliminating the potential of fire and explosion.
