Features of Split Length Filter Cage

On a dust filter system with a narrow operating floor with limited height which finds difficulty in installment, Tan Thanh offers the solution to use cages with connectors: separate one long cage into two short cage segments connected by one set of connectors. The cage is easy to remove and install the cage, convenient for filter system maintenance, replacing bags and cages periodically, or checking for replacement when a few bags are torn, punctured, burned, etc.

At the same time, with dust filter bags with a length of 3m to 6m, the cage mouth needs to be attached with a venturi as a guide tube for the compressed air pulse to shoot deep into the bottom of the bag, which increase the efficiency of dust shaking along the length from the mouth to the bottom of the filter bag.

With short dust filter bags (≤3m), it is possible to use a normal and non-venturi cage.

Application of the split length filter cage:

The cages are used in a variety of dust applications: Plant dust filtration, incinerator dust filtration, boilers, chemicals,… and production and processing lines that generate dust, in many industries.

Manufacturing of the split length filter cage:

Tan Thanh directly surveys, designs and manufactures filter cages according to requirements:

TAN THANH will survey the technical requirements with the Customer, create design drawings and manufacture samples, approve samples and manufacture frames according to the correct size and structure according to the approved drawings.

For orders according to specific designs of the Customer, before processing, Tan Thanh technicians will survey, measure and take samples, ensuring that the frame after processing is accurate according to the order.

Frame welding technique:

The warp and the reinforcing rings are fed into the mold on the multi-point welding line. With the automatic pulling step, the warp and the reinforcing rings are multi-point welded in turn, the weld is uniform, forming a long and straight frame, the weld is neat and beautiful, minimizing the weld scale.

The top, bottom or joint components are welded to each frame on the welding machines, ensuring each weld is neat and beautiful, minimizing welding smoke and weld scale.

Manufacturing process:

  • Pull the steel wire according to the wire diameter requirements from 3mm to 5mm.
    If the material is black steel, it is possible to process hot-dip galvanizing the steel wire, the top and bottom of the cage (as required).

  • Ring making and cage body making: straightening, pulling, bending, cutting steel wire.
  • Welding steel rings into stiffener rings on a welding machine, grinding burrs.
  • Weld to form the body frame with stiffeners and frame joints.
  • Welding the body frame with the top and the bottom parts to form the complete steel cage.
  • Combination of powder coating or electrolytic galvanizing as a whole set (on request).

Note: Stainless steel materials do not need plating or coating.
