1. Nomex Filter Material (m-Aramid)
What Nomex is?
From meta-Aramid origin fiber, Dupont brand (from USA) created fireproof fabric at woven and nonwoven fiber, first published in 1967 with the name Nomex. Since then, “Nomex” gradually became the common name for high temperature resistant m-Aramid fiber fabric.

M-Aramid fiber, with its oval shape (not round), creates a larger filter area compared to PE and PPS fibers, allowing it to filter very fine dust effectively.
With the own fireproofing and anti-abrasion features, Nomex fabrics are improved with more durable, lighter and expand the application.
The main feature of Nomex material
- Advantage: Withstands high temperatures (up to 220ºC), very good alkali resistance, especially suitable for hot dry exhaust gas environments – where material hydrolysis is difficult to occur. Therefore, Nomex heat-resistant dust filter bags (m-Aramid) are widely used in dust filtration applications for hot asphalt concrete stations, cement production lines, metallurgy industry, material drying systems, etc.
- Disadvantage: m-Aramid fibers are susceptible to hydrolysis, easily damaged by acid vapors, so Nomex filter bags are generally only suitable for certain application areas where they can demonstrate the above strengths.

Tan Thanh produce based on the customer’s dimensions requirements. Before production, the technician will survey, measure and take samples, ensuring that the Nomex filter bag after installation fits properly and does not leak dust.
- Bag body: Covered with glue to prevent fine dust from passing through and increase the bag’s lifespan.
- Bag mouth: Elastic steel ring is the most common type- Stainless steel (SUS 304).
- Bottom of the bag: Reinforced with two layers of both the foot and bottom of the bag.
- Sewing thread: 100% high strength PTFE.
