PPS heat-resistant dust filter bags are manufactured and supplied by Tan Thanh in the Vietnamese market, using high-quality PPS filter materials from the world’s leading brands such as Gutsche and AOG. PPS heat-resistant dust filter bags combine many advantages of other material lines such as PI and PTFE, and are the top choice of large boiler and incinerator systems around the world.
PPS filter material
What is PPS fiber?
PPS (Polyphenylene sulfide) is a non-woven dust filter material that can work under high temperatures up to 190°C (375°F). In particular, PPS has good abrasion resistance and excellent chemical resistance, in which the acid resistance and hydrolysis resistance of PPS are much better than Nomex and Acrylic in hot and humid dusty environments.
However, PPS fibers are quite sensitive to residual Oxygen concentration in exhaust gas. At high temperatures, Oxygen accelerates the reaction with SOx, NOx transfer to oxidants that attack the surface of the filter material, reducing the mechanical strength of PPS material. Therefore, maintaining low residual Oxygen concentration in exhaust gas (recommended below 12%) must be a top concern when using PPS filter material.
Main features of PPS filter material
Advantage: In addition to the ability to withstand high temperatures at 190°C, PPS is especially resistant to hydrolysis, abrasion, and acid and alkali better than Nomex and Acrylic.
Disadvantage: PPS fiber is sensitive to Oxidation concentration. With Oxygen concentration above 12%, the tensile strength of the material is significantly reduced.

PPS filter fabric manufacturers
From the excellent properties of PPS, typical manufacturers such as Gutsche (Germany) and AOG (Japan – India) have researched and developed exclusive technologies to create different PPS types, with technological characteristics, enhancing the capabilities of conventional PPS fibers, capable of matching Zero Emission requirements.
Gutsche’s special technologies applied to PPS filter materials:
- Antafin®: Surface treatment has effective anti-adhesion ability against greasy dust and oil. Increases chemical resistance, improves filtration efficiency.
- Optivel®: Exclusive technology with a blend of PPS + PI and PTFE materials, creating PPS filter material that inherits the advantages of other materials and helps overcome the weaknesses of conventional PPS materials, improving durability and dust filtering ability. Proven in many coal-fired boilers, waste incinerators, and coal-fired thermal power plants worldwide.
- Createx®: Technology of coating PTFE membrane on the surface of PPS filter material. Increases the life of filter material, increases filtration efficiency for fine dust (PM 2.5), helps dust cake separate from the material surface more easily. Aims for Zero Emission standard.
- Condutex®: Integrates anti-static properties into PPS filter material where required.
AOG’s special technologies applied to PPS filter material
- Fluorobond™: The fluorocarbond treatment imparts liquid repellency to the fabric surface, providing chemical resistance (medium level) and the ability to release dust cake from the fabric surface more easily.
- Twintech™: The surface treatment technology coated with PTFE membrane (ePTFE membrane) can help retain ultra-fine dust particles on the fabric surface, increase the ability to separate dust from the surface, improve filtration efficiency, and protect the filter material from environmental chemicals.
- Staticguard™: Integrates conductive fibers into the filter media to reduce the potential for static buildup with the company’s Checkstatic™ conductive fiber technology.
- Microbond™: Material processing technology enhances the ability to filter fine dust by changing the filter material’s pore structure, supporting the removal of dust cakes, meeting stricter environmental standards (Zero Emission).
Quality testing organizations, setting standards for filter materials:
There are many organizations that can test the quality of PPS filter material, the leading ones are:
- ISO – The International Organization for Standardization
- DIN – Deutsches Institut für Normung
- VDI – Verein Deutscher Ingenieure
- FDA – Food and Drug Administration
PPS non-woven fiber filter material is manufactured according to standards of density, weight, thickness, tension, tensile strength, heat resistance, air permeability, shrinkage, resistance to chemical effects (acid, alkali, oxidation, hydrolysis, …).
The quality of PPS filter material is qualifed in the manufacturer’s own laboratory as well as independently tested by the most prestigious standards organizations in the world.

Production and supply capacity of TAN THANH PPS dust filter bags
With 12 years of production experience in different type of PPS filter bags, Tan Thanh human resources staff have been trained thoroughly from GUTSCHE and AOG experts, understood the techniques and produced high quality PPS bags that are suitable and meet the strict requirements for each customer.
With modern, automatic machinery lines, and ISO 9001–2015 quality management system, Tan Thanh can produce PPS dust filter bags with high and consistent quality. The technology of adhesive coating is considered a new innovation of TAN THANH, applied to all types of boiler and incinerator filter bags, to minimize the risk of fine dust escaping into the environment, meeting the most strict environmental protection standard.
Structure of PPS dust filter bag
Tan Thanh PPS Dust Filter Bag Model:
Tan Thanh produce based on the customer’s dimensions requirements. Before production, the technician will survey, measure and take samples, ensuring that the filter bag after installation fits properly and does not leak dust.
- Bag body: Covered with glue to prevent fine dust from passing through and increase the bag’s lifespan.
- Bag mouth: Elastic steel ring is the most common type – Stainless steel (SUS 304).
- Bottom of the bag: Reinforced with two layers of both the foot and bottom of the bag.
- Sewing thread: 100% high strength PTFE.
- Bag dimension: Common with diameter D135 – 165 (mm), length from 1,000 – 7,000 (mm).
