Polyester is made from pure polyester, no impurities, in the form of thermoplastic.
The main feature of Polyester material
Advantages:
- Polyester filter bag has very good abrasion resistance, capable of working function continuously at temperatures up to 150°C and has good resistance to common acids, solvents and oxidants.
- Polyester is the most flexible material used for filter bags with cost-effective and popular to collect dust. As a result, Polyester is treated as an economic type. With many fibers (deniers), Polyester can against high pressure (very fine fiber) to low pressure (rough fiber). The component of fine fiber helps to collect fine dust, in some cases, it is an alternative for the membrane to reduce emission.
- With reasonable prices and high filtration efficiency, Polyester filter fabric is the most used in filter bag production in Tan Thanh.


Note: Fiber denier 0.7 have a higher density than fiber denier 0.2, it is for filtering finer dust.
Disadvantages:
- The only weakness is poor hydrolysis in operating environments with high humidity and temperature.
Polyester Surface Treatment Solutions:
Depending on the specific dust treatment application, Tan Thanh will advise on combining treatments to help strengthen Polyester materials such as:
- Singeing: A process of burning off protruding fibers to create a smoother surface.
- Calendering: The fabric is passed through heated rollers to improve its texture and appearance.
- Heatseting: Increases dimensional stability and reduces shrinkage.
- Water & Oil Repellent: Provides resistance to moisture and oil.
- Glazing: Creates a glossy, less dusty, easy to clean.
The most common surface treatments for Polyester materials are Singeing and Glazing to aid in the treatment of cake and adherent dust.

Tan Thanh (TATA Filter) produce based on the customer’s dimensions requirements. Before Polyester filter bag production, the technician will survey, measure and take samples, ensuring that the filter bag after installation fits properly and does not leak dust.
- Bag body: There is an additional seam adhesive coating that prevents fine dust from passing through and increases the service life of the bag.
- Bag mouth: The most common is the bag mouth made of elastic steel rings – Stainless steel type (SUS 304).
- Bag Bottom: Reinforced with two layers of both bag legs and bag bottom.
- Sewing thread: 100% heat-resistant, high-strength PTFE.
- Bag size: Common with diameter D135 – 165 (mm), length from 1,000 – 7,000 (mm).
