Quick-Connect Cartridge Filter

TATA Filter Quick-Connect Cartridge Filter is a filter type with a top structure featuring a connector assembly that allows for quicker and more convenient attachment to the tube sheet (compared to flanged or threaded cartridge types). It is widely installed in cartridge dust recovery systems that require flexible maintenance and replacement, or in cartridge dust collection cabinets, according to customer orders and technical advice on fabrication and installation from Tan Thanh.

Filter Material and Structure of Quick-Connect Cartridge Filter

Filter Core:

• Flat Polyester material sheets are pleated to increase the surface area for dust contact, rolled into a tube shape, and fixed at the top and bottom with adhesive.
• Polyester material can undergo surface treatment technology to increase resistance to dust adhesion, moisture, and oil vapor on the filtration surface, or incorporate fibers to prevent electrostatic charge accumulation.
• For requirements involving cleaning dust from filters via water washing and drying for reuse, clarify the most suitable filter material specifications during consultation and ordering.
• Operating temperature for Polyester filter cores: from 60°C to ≤120°C depending on the material type.

Filter Body:

• The filter tube is shaped and reinforced by an internal support frame, which is a rolled perforated steel sheet. The perforated steel mesh ensures good airflow and durability. Spiral steel mesh provides higher rigidity, durability, and vibration resistance. Galvanized metal enhances resistance to chemical impacts and rust, increasing lifespan in harsh operating conditions.
• The outer side of the filter core is treated to withstand dust and chemical impacts as previously specified. This surface must be carefully preserved to avoid damage, scratches, or tearing of the filter material.
• The outer surface of the filter core is bonded with fixed bands spaced evenly along the height of the filter tube. Depending on the order model, an additional outer protective mesh may be included. These bands or protective mesh help the filter surface expand and contract more uniformly during each cleaning pulse using compressed air.

Top and Bottom Structure:

• The quick-connect cartridge filter is a special type where the top component and the cap have interlocking joints. Installing the filter tube into the cap requires no disassembly tools; simply rotate to engage the top part into the cap.
• When rotated and engaged, the top is held securely when the spring-loaded steel ball snaps into the correct position. The chlorine rubber gasket ensures an airtight seal against gas leakage, providing durability and resistance to operating temperatures and conditions.
• The cap has holes for bolting to the tube sheet, after which the filter tube is attached to the tube sheet from below.
• The top and cap assembly are made of thick plastic, ensuring durability during operation. The bottom of the filter tube is made of steel.
• Both ends of the filter tube are poured with specialized adhesive to firmly attach the entire body, including the steel mesh frame and pleated filter membrane, creating a uniform cylindrical shape.

Operating temperature: 93 – 120 °C.

• Standard dimensions are usually: Φ320 mm diameter with lengths from 600 to 900 mm.
• The number of pleats can vary according to the surface area calculation method.

Cartridge Filter Installation

Cartridge filters have two main installation methods: vertical and horizontal. The quick-connect cartridge filter is suitable for vertical installation from the bottom up.
